  • FPL Optimisation Tools published
Sertalp launches the first open-source FPL Optimisation toolkit. The project introduces several new ideas to FPL analytics, such as exponential time decay and free transfer value. In the following years, the team introduce features like sensitivity analysis, which transform the landscape of robust planning and are now adopted in the process of hundreds of analytics enthusiasts.

  • FPL Optimized launched
Sertalp creates FPL Optimized, a free, open-source website that helps FPL managers track their progress and success relative to others. Over time, the site grows to thousands of weekly users, expanding to include season-wide progress tracking and other key analytics features.

  • FPL Analytics Discord Community founded
Sertalp establishes the FPL Analytics Discord, which quickly becomes the largest dedicated hub for FPL analytics discussions, connecting data-driven managers worldwide. At the start of 2025, the server had more than 2200 members.

  • Stochastic programming applied to FPL
James and Sertalp develop a pioneering stochastic programming model for FPL, allowing managers to create detailed and flexible planning strategies under uncertainty. This represents a breakthrough in FPL analytics.

  • Relative risk solver component implementation
James designs an advanced optimisation model that accounts for relative risk alongside projected points. This innovation brings a new dimension to decision-making, allowing users to adjust their strategies based on their risk appetite. In the 2023-24 season, this approach influences key decisions—including those of the eventual FPL Champion.
